Dhulikhel Namobuddha Day Tour covers two very distinct yet important places. Dhulikhel is a small town filled with beautiful houses and people. Only 40 to 50 minutes drive from Kathmandu will take us to Dhulikhel. The beautifully designed Hindu temples, stupas, public squares, handicrafts, arts, and ancient Newari village are the major attraction of Dhulikhel. People residing here grows rice, mustard, and millet. Here we can see several majestic mountains including Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Gaurishankar, Mt. Phuribichyachu, Mt. Langtang, Mt. Ganesh Himal etc. We will stroll around the town for a while, learn new things and have fleeting interactions with locals before leaving for Namobouddha.
Namobuddha, perched on the hillock holds great religious significance for Buddhist. A perfect destination for cultural enthusiasts, Namobuddha provides a glimpse of several Himalayan ranges including Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Gaurishanker Himal. Down below there are small villages surrounded with terraced farms and lush forests.
It is believed that Namobuddha was constructed by a young prince on the fond memory of his young brother who died feeding the hungry tigress and her cubs with his own flesh. The plaza is believed to be built above his remainings: bone and hair.
