Kathmandu –Pokhara sightseeing tour enrich you with unique experiences, making your Nepal tour perfect. The five-day tour will fascinate us with cultural heritage and natural scenery. Learn the nation’s colorful culture and fascinating past. In Kathmandu, you will see how well ancient culture blend with modernity whereas Pokhara is a natural wonderland with mesmerizing caves, temples, lakes and much more.

The Nepal tour starts with Kathmandu sightseeing giving a glimpse of historical and cultural heritage. We will explore four major cultural heritage; Basantapur Durbar Square: a magnificent palace, Swayambhunath: the oldest temple in Kathmandu valley, Pashupatinath: one of the major Shiva temples in Asia and Bouddhanath: the largest stupa in the world.

The tour further takes us to Pokhara, a mystical city with a calm ambiance. We will spend two days in Pokhara exploring the natural wonders it has to offer.

Day 1
Day 01: Arrival:

Nepal Trekking Path’s representative will be waiting for you with a name card outside the terminal. They will transfer you to your hotel in a private vehicle. Enjoy the view of Kathmandu city in this half an hour drive. Spend the night in the cozy 3-star hotel.

Day 2
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour:

Kathmandu valley holds seven cultural and natural heritage sites listed in UNESCO Cultural and Heritage Sites. However exploring all of them is not possible so today we will explore only four of them; Basantapur Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath.

Nepal trekking Path’s cultural tour guide will collect you from your accommodation after breakfast. First, we will drive to Basantapur Durbar Square. Home of Malla and Shah kings, the plaza exhibits the old day charm in the middle of the busiest city in Kathmandu. The plaza is packed with ancient temples, palaces, courtyards, beautiful carvings, sculptures, monuments, and shrines. The ancient Newari craftsmanship is exhibited in the plaza’s architecture and craft. Check out the museum, receive blessings from the living goddess, Kumari, and stroll around the plaza.

Swayambhunath: It’s called a monkey temple for a reason and we will discover it as soon as we enter the plaza; monkeys are everywhere performing amazing stunts. The beautiful plaza sits above the bustling city offering the bird’s eye view of the city. If you want to hike a little use the main entrance with 365 stone steps otherwise drive to another entrance. The major attraction of the plaza is a white stupa encircled by multiple small shrines and temples. Stroll around the vantage points, ponds, garden, temples and check out the temples.

Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath, the largest Shiva temple in Nepal stands the testimony of Hindu culture, tradition, and faith. The complex houses numerous temples inside and outside the complex. The main temple is of Lord Shiva nestled on the bank of the holy river, Bagmati. Witness cremation ceremony (if you are interested), stroll around the plaza, pay homage and receive a blessing.

Bouddhanath: Located in Buddha, the stupa is believed to be the largest stupa in the world. The beautiful plaza is packed with shrines, temples, gumbas and a stupa. Small and big vendors encircle the plaza allowing us to buy souvenirs and other items. Concluding the tour, we will drive back to your hotel.

In the evening, head out to enjoy Kathmandu’s nightlife. Have dinner then head back to the hotel.

Day 3
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara:

Start the day early, have breakfast then hop into the private jeep. Leaving the busy city behind, we will head out of the city following the road meandering alongside the green hills, small villages, hamlets, terraced farms and raging river. It is a 6 hours drive. We will take multiple breaks in between the drive to stretch our legs, enjoy the vistas and have lunch. Upon reaching Pokhara, check-in to the hotel, freshen up then head out to explore the city. Pokhara offers the most staggering scenery with its deep lakes, cascading waterfalls and dramatic peaks. Stroll around the Fewa lake, check out the local market, enjoy the view of soaring mountains and get a taste of nightlife in Pokhara.

Day 4
Day 04: Pokhara Sightseeing Tour:

Wake up before the dawn, drive to Sarangkot to view the most mesmerizing sunrise ever. The view of sun rays scattered in the sparkling mountain is undoubtedly captivating. Enjoy the panoramic view from the top of this small hill station. From here, we will follow the rough road leading to Peace Stupa. Drive down to the city have lunch then explore David’s fall. Delve into the unparallel beauty of this waterfall before heading to Gupteswor Cave. Bat cave is another major attraction in Pokhara. Afterward, drive to Fewa lake, enjoy the boating and walk on the shore. We will discover the Barahi Temple set in the middle of the tranquil lake. It’s going to be a long day, so after dinner take rest in the hotel on the lakeside.

Day 5
Day 05: Drive From Pokhara to Kathmandu:

Today is the last day in this beautiful city. Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast then hop into the vehicle heading to Kathmandu. Drive through beautiful green valleys, small hamlets, rivers, streams, and terraced farms for around 6 hours to reach Kathmandu.

Day 06: Departure: Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast or lunch as per your flight time then head to the airport with Nepal Trekking Path’s representative for your final departure.
