Travelling is always fun, but you might land in a problem if you don’t have knowledge about the country you are visiting and how things work there. So, before you travel, it’s advisable to know a few things about the country you are visiting.

  1. Visa is compulsory. However, you can get a visa on arrival (you will need a passport-size photo) which can be extend easily if you want to prolong your holidays.

  3. Visit your doctor and take necessary precaution before you embark into the trip. You might have to take pills or vaccination as per your doctor prescription.
  4. If you have any other health issues you may bring your medication in the original bottle along with the prescription.
  5. Though our guide carries (comprehensive) first aid box, it’s advisable to bring your own first aid kit with basic supplements like insect repellent, antiseptic cream, multi-vitamin capsules, etc.
  6. Learn remedies of high-altitude sickness because it’s bound to happen in the high altitude.
  7. Exchange enough local cash so you don’t run out of money when you are in the trek. You barely find the exchange counter there.
  8. Get the travel insurance, it is most.
  9. Learn some basic social or cultural etiquette followed in Nepal before you travel, it can come handy while dealing with locals
  10. Tap water are not safe, so either drink bottled mineral water (which is not recommended from the environmental point view) or purified or boiled water while on the long journey.
  11. Know beforehand if your credit card will work on the host country or not.
  12. Limit the use of plastics
  13. Marijuana is not legal in Nepal, so don’t make the mistake of carrying them with you, unless you are willing to explore the jails too.

  16. Always carry the copy of your passport.
